Our Staff

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley's staff is the heart and soul of this organization. Each Director has an incredible passion and enthusiasm for working with children. This team of Directors works tirelessly to ensure that we support all children. All Directors have participated in numerous training's centered around social skills development and conflict resolution by Donna Shea of the Peter Pan Center and Nadine Briggs of Simply Social Kids. All staff is certified in CPR/First Aid, attended an Epilepsy training and must go through Mass CORI and National Background checks to be employed with us.

Rebecca Lynch, Executive Director
Rebecca is the new Executive Director at The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley. Prior to her role, she was the Director of Advancement at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts, a $33m nonprofit that supports individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, homelessness and addiction. She worked at The Price Center in Newton and Minute Man Arc in Concord, gaining experience in marketing, fundraising and program management.

She is the co-founder and former president of Heated Lions Enterprises, a nonprofit, year round recreational program
for teens and young adults with special needs in the Metrowest area.  

"I'm delighted to support an organization in my community," says Rebecca, who is a Stow resident. "It's so important to have safe, affordable after school and summer programs available to all families in the surrounding communities. The programs at The Boys & Girls Club have such a reputation for quality and deep commitment, and I'm honored to be a part of the heritage!"

Rebecca has her MA degree from Claremont Graduate University, and her BA from Occidental College

John Brennan, Vice President of Operations
After graduating from Fitchburg State College, John Brennan started his career at the Department of Youth Services. In 1976, John started as the Head After Care Worker and in 2005, John took on the role of Northeast Regional Director.  
 
He was responsible for developing, managing, and supervising all administrative and client services for the entire Northeast Area which included an estimated budget of $35-40 million. He managed and provided effective oversight to the delivery of treatment services to delinquent youth and youth on a pre-trial status. As Northeast Regional Director, John was responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all series, including pre-trial detention, secure treatment, group care, foster care, independent living and community based programs. John used his hands-on experience with youth and families in the cities of Lowell, Lawrence, Worcester, and Fitchburg to further his leadership role as the Northeast Regional Director to help to strengthen DYS programs and strategic plans.

Jenn Kuo, Director of Development
Jenn graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2011. At UNH, she majored in Nutrition & Wellness, with a minor in Business Administration, and a concentration in Public Health. Shortly after graduating, Jenn started at the Club as a volunteer at the after-school program for two months before being hired as the Program Supervisor & Coordinator.  Jenn has been able to apply her passion for Wellness in adapting Club programs to be more focused on overall health and well-being in the community.  After five years at the Club, in 2016 Jenn is transitioning to the Director of Development to continue her passion for working at the Club in a different capacity.

Nikki Tyler, Director of Operations
Nikki graduated from Westfield State University where she majored in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Education, Psychology, and English. Nikki became a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Assabet Valley when she was in third grade, and later became a volunteer. After spending many younger years at the Club, Nikki was hired as a counselor at the age of 15. She continued to follow her passion of working with children and stayed working at the Club part-time through college. In 2009 Nikki was named The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley's Youth of the Year for her community service and positive enrichment to the club. In September of 2013, Nikki was hired as the Club's Girls Empowerment Director where she created incredible programming for the Club's female population to help lead them towards healthy attitudes, habits, and lifestyles.  In 2016, Nikki will be taking on the role of the Clubs Director of Operations. She s now taking on the responsibilities of all aspects of the Club's programs and the facility.
