WELCOME TO THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF ASSABET VALLEY
"Great Futures Start Here"
The Mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is to promote the growth of young people in our community by empowering them to become productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley Launches Great Futures Campaign to
Advocate for Kids during Out-of-School

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is excited to announce the launch our 2014 Annual Campaign.  We are reaching out to you because we need your help in reaching our goal to raise $75,000 for the incredible programs we offer to the communities we serve.  Today, The Boys and Girls Club of Assabet Valley serves more kids than at any time in the history of our club.  Over 90 children a day walk through our doors to engage in our many programs and activities in our 5 core areas: Character and Leadership, Education and Career Enrichment, Health and Life Skills, the Arts, and Sports and Fitness.   Instead of being home alone, walking the streets, or just hanging out, our members chose to come to the Club to be with friends and adults who care.  Kids love the club because it’s fun, engaging and their home away from home where they can be themselves.  With your help we can continue to provide fun, affordable activities that can be a lifeline for many parents and a life saver for many kids.  Support our Club and Donate Today!

OUR CLUB
Since 2011, we have increased our youth participation by a steady 33%
Since 2012, we have added 26 new programs focused on children
Over the last three years we have decreased our overhead and now spend more on program support.
It costs approximately $800 to support a child in our programs for 1 year, while the fee to attend is $40.

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley,Inc. has been serving children in the Maynard, Stow, Concord, Acton and Sudbury, Massachusetts area for over 40 years. Our organization’s history closely mimics the history of many of our club members; over the last four decades we have overcome many challenges, from insufficient program management to near closings, but over the last four years our Club’s team has increased program offerings, doubled our youth retention rate and have remained on a consistent trend of positive growth.

Our Club has adapted its programs to meet the ever-changing needs of the community we serve. We impact the lives of more than 1,800 children annually through a variety of youth-centered programs. Our primary goal is to create programming that can help enrich the lives of children from all walks of life.

THANK YOU, BOSE!!!

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley would like to extend a sincere thank you to the employees of the Bose Corporation that are members of the Community Action Team of Stow, (CATS.) This incredible team visited the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley, in Maynard, for a 2-day volunteer event.

The 2-day event included activities focused on creating more multi functional space for the children and staff at the Boys & Girls Club. The team created a new computer space in the homework room, and added some color to both rooms with a new paint job. Facilities representatives also installed a new Wi-Fi router for improved network performance and connectivity.

"These volunteer days of service are vital to organizations like ours and we can't thank Bose enough for all their energy and hard work," said Wendy Allegrone-Leslie, Executive Director.
