WELCOME TO THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF ASSABET VALLEY
"Great Futures Start Here"
The Mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is to promote the growth of young people in our community by empowering them to become productive, caring, responsible citizens.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.  The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley offers that and more.  Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is a safe place to learn and grow -- all while having fun!  The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley provides quality programming during the critical after school hours between 2:00 – 6:00 at night.   Our Club provides diverse activities that meet the interests of all youth.  Our programs engage young people in activities with adults, peers, and family members that enable them to develop self-esteem and to reach their full potential.  Based on the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs and interests of the girls and boys, and recognizing development principles, we offer program activities in five areas: Educational and Career Development, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Character and Leadership Development, Health and Life Skills and The Arts.

The Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley, Inc. has been serving children in the Maynard, Stow, Concord, Acton and Sudbury, Massachusetts area for over 40 years.   Since 1971, we have been providing a place for young people to develop their educational, social, recreational and cultural abilities. The Club has adapted its programs to meet the ever-changing needs of the children, teenagers, and families in its community.  We annually serve over 1,000 young people across our communities.   Positioning our organization to plan for future growth and sustain the current operations will be a key to continued long-term success.

Is your child planning on attending any of our 2013 Summer Programs?

If your child is attending either our Half Day Playground Program or our Full Day Program, you MUST attend one of these meetings before your child can attend.  In these meetings, we will go over all our policies and procedures, all paperwork we need, safety and discipline policies, the events calendar, permission slips, medical policy, etc.

This is also the time to ask questions, register, etc. As many of you know, our summer programs have grown in the last few years. With so many kids attending, to run an amazing program, our staff needs to be focused on the kids for the hours they are with us. These meetings are the most effective, efficient way for us to get everything out there.

PARENT MEETINGS DATES

 Tuesday, June 4th 9:00am-10:00am

Thursday, June 6th 6:30pm -7:30 pm

Monday, June 10th 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Thursday, June 13th 6:30pm - 7:30 pm

If your child registers for Full Day or Half-Day Summer Programs after June 13th, we will hold a meeting for new participants every Tuesday at 5 pm starting on June 25th.
