Walking/Riding Program

For the convenience of Maynard elementary students, we provide a walking/riding program to assist children in getting to the Boys and Girls Club.

Program Details:
The Boys & Girls Club in coordination with the Green Meadow School developed a program to enable students to be supervised as they walk to The Club at dismissal. Staff members from the Boys and Girls Club will come to the school and meet registered students in the gym at dismissal. Students will then be supervised by Club Staff Members as they walk to the Boys and Girls Club along Tiger Drive. It is important to note that students will be walking, even in inclement weather so they should have rain gear available.
This program will begin on Monday, September 5th and continue for the school year until June 2024. The fee for this service is $30/per child/per month. Payments are due on the first of each month.
Important information about Registering for this Program:
Must be a current member of the Boys & Girls Club ($80 per child, per year).
Pre-register with the Boys and Girls Club & School by filling out a completed permission form to be handed into both the school and the Club.

Space is Limited to 36 students each day. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. After 36 students are registered for each day, any additional registrations will be placed on a wait list. The Club will do it's best to accommodate all students needing this service.
Commit to specific days each week, the additional or alteration of days may not be changed without the approval and confirmation from both the school and Boys & Girls Club.

For safety, the school and The Club are not able to accommodate students on a drop in basis or parents calling with daily changes. Participants must be able to safely walk from Green Meadow School to the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley, carrying all their own belongings. The Club has no responsibility for kids leaving items at school.
Make the $30 monthly payment, per child by the first of the month, in order to secure your child's spot in the program. **Participants will only be registered if there are no outstanding fees on their account. **Are not signed up for any school bus.

Students who are on the wait list for space on the buses are not automatically enrolled in this program.
Receive a confirmation form from the Boys and Girls Club confirming your child's participation.
Please note, do not assume your child is registered until you receive this confirmation.
