HOMEWORK POWER HOURS
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLUB MEETING
Daily: 3:15-3:30 pm
Each day Club Directors will go over Social Skills, Club Rules, & the Daily Schedule with all children in Grades K -3.
**Membership to the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley is a PRIVILEGE.
All members are required to be actively participating in an activity for the entire planned block.
Those who do not choose an activity may be asked to go home.
Winter Explorers Program
Jan 19, Jan 26, Feb 2, & Feb 9 (4 weeks)
Location: Maynard High School
Fee: $25/session (Scholarships available)
**Participants will need to be picked up by a parent/guardian at 5:30 pm, if program is not located at the Boys & Girls Club.
This year, the Musketaquid Umbrella Arts Explorers class will spend four weeks imagining, investigating, and creating Maps as Stories. Through exploration of the school and its grounds, personal histories, local maps, and areas students have visited- we will become artists and adventurers! Questions??? Little Engineers Robotics

Learn to use Lego Technic components and Mindstorms NXT software to build and program robots.

For over 20 years, George Caplan was an engineer for Nova Biomedical. For the past 16 years, he has been a Senior Instructor in Physics Laboratory at Wellesley College. Last winter, he facilitated the "Little Engineers Program" at the Boys & Girls Club.
Ben Hudak is a student at Maynard High School, where he is involved with WAVM, plays in concert and jazz band, and sings in the chorus. After school, he works as an electrical engineering assistant at Orchid Technologies in Maynard.
Inside Out Youth Program (Ages 5-11) **Club CAIRS**
Based on Power Brain Education: Promoting physical, emotion, and cognitive intelligence.

Ages: 5-7 @ 4:00-4:45 pm
Ages 8-11 @ 5:00-5:45 pm

Fee:$10/per Boys & Girls Club Member
This program combines art, dance, and learn through play using your body and brain, and experiencing relaxing meditations. Participants will gain self-confidence & positive attitude, as well as improve focus, coordination, memory, physical health, and motor skills, while multiplying creativity, mindfulness, and happiness! Come to have fun, learn, and play! Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle. If you do not have a mat, one will be provided.

About the Instructor, Ksenia Macguire: She attended Art School in Moscow and shortly after moved to the U.S., where she attended the Art Institute of Lesley University (B.A. Fine Arts). She has worked in Brighton teaching clay working to students of all ages. She is a local mom and practices Power Brain Education strategies with her own children.
