~We are looking forward to a fun and successful season~

2013-14 Anticipated Game Schedule: (From Commissioner of CMYBL)
Because Thanksgiving is late this year, the first Sunday of December (always a normal game date for everyone) is part of Thanksgiving weekend this year. We understand that date may not be preferable for some teams.
That in mind, November 10, November 17, November 24, and December 1 are all potential game dates. All teams will play on two of those four dates. These will be Games 1 and 2 of the regular season.

From there, everyone will play on December 8, 15, 22; January 5, 12, 19, 26; February 2, 9. These are Games 3-11 of the regular season.   All these dates are Sunday. Virtually without exception, game times are 12:00, 1:15, 2:30, 3:45, and 5:00pm.

Note: no league games during the second weekend of Christmas vacation week (12/29) or during the two weekends of February vacation week (2/16 and 2/23).  1/19 is Martin Luther King weekend, a long holiday weekend for most school districts. Games are played that Sunday even though there is no school that Monday.  On Super Bowl Sunday (2/2), the last scheduled game start will be at 3:45pm. There will be no 5:00pm games on 2/2.

Playoffs: March 1 and 2.  Playoffs will occur over this single weekend. Note that March 1 is a Saturday. Those games generally start after 2pm and go through the evening. Sunday game times are during normal game slots.  Playoffs will be designed again so that teams who finish with four wins or better will have the opportunity to participate in the "top” playoff bracket. All teams will have the opportunity to participate in the playoffs however, regardless of record. The only difference is teams with four wins will be afforded the chance to play in the top bracket.

TRAVEL LEAGUE: The CMYBL travel basketball program is a potential option for those boys and girls seeking a higher level of competition against teams from other towns. The level of competition and commitment for travel teams are extremely competitive and may not be an option for everyone. Special tryouts are held for each grade-level (5th thru 8th) and the there is a potential for all players trying out to not be selected for a travel team.
RECREATION LEAGUE: This is an instructional youth league for boys & girls in grades 3rd-8th. Teams will be made up of: 3rd-4th, 5th-6th and 7th-8th graders. The goal of the league is to promote youth basketball in a fun, safe, instructional format for kids to learn and play.
